Ratigan: Oooh, this is wicked! Now, I know why you carry this thing around, Basil!
Basil: No...that is not what I use it for, you...sex fiend!

This is the second idea expanded from the plot of the GMD characters dressed in Halloween costumes from 2008. Basil and Ratigan are still dressed in their opposite attire, but have now ventured off to the Rat Trap to have a pint and skim through some 'reading' material. Well, Ratigan is mostly doing the latter of the two. Basil's pose is mirrored from the movie after Dawson drank the spiked ale. Naturally, I had to alter it to fit this scene, and I never considered Basil easy to draw when facing forward. Ratigan's pose is mirrored after one quick view of him somewhere in the movie, can't recall exactly. He is never easy to draw at all!

To save Basil from people thinking he's not interested in women (there's been talk already!), one could say this looks like he's waiting his turn to view the magazine next and is annoyed in the meantime. Personally, I consider Basil more interested in his detective work above all else. Though, he's not dead nor blind, so a pretty girl could catch his eye, you never know.

The background is a sad attempt at recreating some patrons and light fixtures to the Rat Trap. The scanner is acting strange, too, you can see more lines that I tried to cover up, and the background was so light (to poor penciling), I had to line it in using the mouse on the computer.
