OK, these were never worn on or around Halloween, but since a lot of costumes will be worn today, I decided to submit it! This is me and my friends posing as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Splinter after the Masquerade event at the 2006 San Diego Comic Convention. I'm Donatello, the purple-masked turtle.

Since 2003, we were planning to make and wear these costumes for TMNT's 20th anniversary (2004). The helper of our turtle costumes took a little longer than expected and we ended up wearing them in 2006, only for the Masquerade. For our last minute dance sketch, we won the following prize:

Dreamers and Schemers awarded $400 and a teaser poster for their new movie to what they deemed the best re-creation of a movie or TV character to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

To this day, I'm very proud to have had the chance to show my love for TMNT live on stage with my friends.

Haha, I actually got glomped in the green room as the Masquerade was going on. A couple of Donatello fans wanted to hug me and get their picture! It was sooo awesome!

Thanks so much! I've found lots of photos of us all over the net. After the Masquerade, we had to stand on this little stage in the Convention Center hallway and get bombarded with photographers. Even with it hard to see under that mask, I saw hundreds of flashbulbs going off at us!

Amazing! You guys definitely deserved to win a prize with those. I mostly cringe when I see pics of cosplay TMNT but these look great.
