Supporting yet another game from Eidos Interactive. If you like games with less combat and more sneaking around in the shadows, then this one is for you.
"Thief: The Dark Project," is a first-person view adventure game set in a medieval steam punk universe. You play the role of Garrett, a street urchin who turns to a secret clan known as the Keepers to learn the ways of pilfering. The levels are pretty basic of slipping into places, stealing loot (bling!), and getting out with your skin still intact. Simple, right? Wait till you get to towards the end of the game!

There are three difficulty levels: Normal, Hard, and Expert, each varying your objectives. I play Hard the most because Expert is so ludicrous. I have played Expert and won, but it's really a challenge and I don't like the restrictions.

The art and animation is quite impressive, too. The towns, maze of mansions, underground caverns, and other unusual areas, are very vivid in atmospheric detail. The cut scenes, although I've seen them hundreds of times, are always worth watching and listening to. There are religious themes since it is from Renaissance times, but none that seems offensive or inappropriate.

The purpose of this Stamp is mainly to show my love for the game. Yes, it is in my collection of computer games and I still play it from time to time. Please favor if you wish to use this in your Shoutboard. Thank you!

This video game is awesome. I never personally played, but my father played and finished each of the games, while a younger me was sitting beside him to help :D

What intrigued me to play was the whole Renaissance atmosphere, I really didn't know it was a game mostly about sneaking around and less combat. The more I played, the more I loved it. You should try it now on your own. It is a challenge, though, takes practice to succeed.

Really I must say I get a kick out of it now. All the roaming around in the dark, zombies popping out, the 'moaning' of ghosts in the audio playback, it's quite an adventure. Wait till you play Expert level. I hate it, so I usually stick to Hard instead.

In the "Return to the Cathedral" level in the library, the place where you need the Prayer Book, that room has a very eerie-sounding voice. It sounds like a ghost child begging for food. It says "Please, sir...hungry..." or something like that. Freaks me out to no end with headphones! :fear: ;)

Or the mines of "Cragscleft Prison" before you get to the Factories upstairs, moans and groans and darkness! All this talk makes me want to play it again, and I just did! Maybe play Expert and really drive myself nuts. :D
