Christine and I honestly didn't know what to get Mom for Mother's Day. As it was, I had to work from 12 to 9, unable to spend the whole day with her. After taking a co-worker home at 11 Saturday night, we drove over to Wal Mart to try and find something to get. Good thing they're open till midnight. We looked for movies like, Moonstruck or "The Golden Girls" DVD set, but they didn't have either one. We ended up buying Mamma Mia! and then picking up some snacks such as Mallomars (her favorite New York cookie), a box of M&M's Peanuts for $1 and an Elvis Presley card. Coming in late, we figured she might have waited up for us, so we left the goodies in the car. Nope, she crashed and went to bed. I went back out to get the goodies and we put them together in a gift bag to open in the morning. She and my aunt were going to the airport Sunday morning because my uncle has to go to Orlando on a business trip. I slept in before going in at 12 and I barely remember Mom coming in and going, "THANK YOOOOOOU!!!" for the goodies. We all had lunch together at Wendy's during my lunch hour at 4.

The day went pretty slow for the department, or compared to Friday, it was so laid back. A lot of people went out to lunch or dinner with their moms, so it got real slow when I came back from lunch. I'm off tomorrow, thank goodness, but then my next day off isn't until Sunday. Bleh. They're short, five-hour shifts, so it's a bit of a rest. This week was 40 hours and absolutely insane. I like getting the money, I need it, but it's very tiresome.
